Dental Art was established in 2004. Its primarily mission is to provide Irish dentists with high quality crown and bridge work. We pride ourselves in striving for perfection in conservative dentistry by following the world’s latest industry innovations, best practises and employ the latest techniques. We believe there are many ways to fabricate a crown.

Not all of them deliver a product made of materials you can trust and quality control guaranteeing a long lasting result. When you get a hip or knee cap replacement you always want to satisfy yourself as to the quality of materials used for the operation and the skills of the surgeon – should you not require same for your crowns, too?

Tatjana Baum

Tatjana Baum has brought to the Company a wealth of valuable experience from growing up in both Ireland and Germany along withher to with her roots from South America.

As a graduate from Berufsschule fuer Zahntechnik College of Munich, Germany, with a Degree in Dental Technology, she has gained 5 years of practical experience in the field while living in Germany. Tatjana then decided to pursue her dream of living in Ireland, where she has been working for over 15 years specialising in the field of Ceramic Crown and Bridgework.

To keep up to date with new techniques Tatjana regularly attends
numerous world renowned Ceramists Master Workshops and Dental Shows in Ireland and abroad.

Our porcelain of choice is ‘Creation’ developed by the world leading ceramist Willi Geller. Inspired by the desire for a unique and life-like copy of nature, the internationally renowned dental technician Willi Geller created a metal-ceramic in 1988. This caused a sensation: perfect, true-to-nature restorations became possible all at once – masterly in their physical properties and reliable and reproducible in terms of shading.

With Creation, each tooth was suddenly able to retain its own character – in shade, form and function. Unique, lifelike aesthetics thanks to highly pure potash feldspar that has developed constantly in line with growing aesthetic demands. . For more than 20 years, the Creation brand has stood for high-quality and aesthetically superior dental ceramics – whether for anterior and posterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, bridges or implants.

We see ourselves as Artisans, working with their hands in the era of computerised CAD/CAM technology. We realise that this technology is part of the industry nowadays, but despite that there are still certain skills and emotions, which cannot be replaced by it. These are the feeling and understanding of ART.

SHADE TAKING

The Dental Art Laboratory offers patients individual shade taking as we believe it is essential in order to properly assess every case. It also provides an opportunity to discuss directly with the patients their aesthetic views and desires to help us to achieve „the crown”.

This personalised shade taking guides us in determining the correct shade, shape and surface for the individual crowns that we produce.

Therefore we pride ourselves on producing high quality customised crowns to suit the patient. After all, no two crowns are the same, each is unique – as are our patients!

In 2010 I attended Jon Won’s master course on dental ceramics organised in London. For me it was not only the experience of observing his outstanding skills, but also to see the man behind them. A man of a great personality and sincere generosity. A man, who knows that there is more to life than just work!
